Submissions

Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Formating: You may choose a bibliographic style of your choice that includes: the full names of all author(s) and editor(s), and the publisher's name and place.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

• This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
• The article has not been previously published, nor is it currently under review by another journal. After publication in lectio difficilior, articles may be published elsewhere, expressly on condition that lectio difficilior is cited prominently as the place of first publication.
• The article has a maximum length of 60,000 characters or 10,000 words.
• All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
• All diagrams and illustrations are numbered and labeled.
• Permission to publish all photos, data sets, and other materials submitted with this article has been obtained. The rights holders have been informed that the publication will appear as CC BY NC ND 4.0. 
• The language of the article is German, English, or French. Translations from other languages must be provided by the authors. 
• They have an abstract of no more than 1,000 characters/200 words in the language of the article and in another language (English, German, French). 
• They have completely anonymized the manuscript for the review process.
• The bibliography contains the full names of all authors and editors for each entry.
• The bibliography contains the names and locations of the publishers for each entry.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
